From the plains around Donzy to the Coteaux du Giennois vineyards

This tour takes you along the Nohain valley, towards the vineyards of the Coteaux du Giennois. Along the way you will see Donzy le Pré Abbey with its unmissable tympanum, the chapel of Saint Martin du Pré, then the church of Saint Symphorien de Sully la Tour, listed as a Historical Monument since 1914 and the Château des Granges.
This circuit will immerse you in the national forest, where you will certainly see the inhabitants (deer, wild boars, ...) before arriving on the open plain where the village of Sainte-Colombe-des-Bois is nestled.
This circuit takes you between forests and valleys in the south of Donziais, to discover Châteauneuf Val de Bargis and surrounding villages. During your bike ride you can enjoy a wide range of landscapes, a natural and built heritage of great richness: the castle of Arbourse, the vineyards of Chasnay, the forest of Bellary and its Chartreuse.

This tour allows you to discover the historic centre of Donzy, with its half-timbered houses. It then takes you along the tracks of the old railway line, laid out in a green corridor, a circuit with explanations (in French) about the heritage. The abbey of Donzy le Pré and its tympanum portal is a magnificent example of 11th century Burgundian Romanesque sculpture.

This tour takes you back to the time of the castles and their knights. The castle of La Motte Josserand, built on the marshy grounds of Perroy, is one of the most beautiful military buildings from the Middle Ages of Nivernais.
Markings : Yellow mountain bike nr. 2-3 Possibility to extend the circuit via the agricultural fields of Ciez (27 km of circuit to return to Perroy) by following the blue mark n°3.
This tour immerses you in the time when the iron and steel industry flourished in Donziais. Champdoux, a hamlet in the municipality of Sainte-Colombe-des-Bois was then a Mecca of the Nièvre iron and steel industry. It houses one of the most important factories in the department.

The heights of southern Donziais offer beautiful panoramas to admire the landscapes and appreciate the tranquility of the place. Possibility of shortening the circuit by going to Colméry via the aforementioned places: La Cour en Paray to catch up with Cessy les Bois.

This circuit takes you through the forest of Couloutre, where the large chestnut tree hides. In the village of Couloutre you can enjoy a refreshment on the terrace of the inn. The route continues towards Ménestreau, to discover its 19th century washhouse in the centre of the village. During your trip, you will see the castles of the Lords of Couloutre and Villiers in Ménestreau.

Mountain bike route - On the trail of the scallop Santiage de Compostela

Châteauneuf-Val-de-Bargis is a stopover on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. At the exit of the village you enter the Bellary forest, to see the portal of the Charterhouse of Bellary.
